Barangay extraterritoriality disputes
Global Marine System's territory is part of Barangay San Roque. It is an enclave within Barangay San Andres 1. Notably, ICTSI's Bauan International Port disputes the boundary of Barangay San Andres 1 and San Roque, due to some land of ICTSI is actually inside San Andres 1. This is verified by residents of the Ilaya part of San Andres 1. Currently, residents do not know the location of the boundary between the two barangays.

Bauan, Batangas.  The period for business and mayor's permit application kicks off Wednesday, January 2, 2013 and will continue until the 20th of January.
For businesses whose gross sales/receipts were determined at fixed rate with the application of the Municipal Treasurer's inherent power (Presumptive Income Level), business permit application started on December of 2012 wherein, they were required to present their old (2012) Mayor's Permit and a new (2013) Barangay Clearance (if applicable).  Under the guidance of Mr. Antonio V. de Lacy, Jr., Municipal Administrator and Head of the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Office, early clearance for business permit application was made possible using the BPLS enhanced system.
Minimum documentary requirements for business permit applications are as follows:
RENEWAL:
Old Mayor's Permit / Barangay Clearance / Latest Audited Financial Statements or ITR or its equivalent / Other governmental clearances, as required for business operations.
NEW BUSINESSES:
